Born in London, raised in Japan, and educated in the United States, Motoki is truly a transcontinental director and producer. He began his career in the Japanese TV industry in 2014, helping Japanese media companies with productions in the U.S. He is currently a director and producer at Kscope Films, a boutique production company specializing in commercial films and events. There, he shoots everything from beauty footage of confidential high-end products to bilingual interviews with executives from global companies wanting industrial storytelling through top-notch branded content. His production work spans Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, England, Germany, France and the U.S.

His first short documentary, All Things Metal, premiered at the Tribeca Festival, made the DOC NYC Shortlist, and was acquired by Rolling Stone and Documentary+

Motoki is based in California but can frequently be found in NYC and Tokyo.
